Bruce Jack – Flagstone Winery, South Africa
A real rising star, Flagstone, established in 1998, was recently named as one of the top wineries in South Africa and has one of the country’s most consistent wine ranges. Bruce Jack’s engaging personality, understanding of consumer tastes, and perfectionist technical ability in the winery make him one to watch.
Flagstone Noon Gun, 2005
This fresh, dry and wonderfully aromatic white celebrates the winemaker’s art of blending. Described by Bruce Jack as “great wine you can afford to drink every day”.
Flagstone The Wallflower, Morio Muscat-Sauvignon Blanc, 2005
A full-bodied, but dry white, similar in style to a ripe Alsace muscat, but with extra acidity and freshness added by the sauvignon blanc.
Flagstone Writers Block Pinotage, 2002
This robust, smoothly fruity red wine is a demonstration of how great pinotage can be with the right care, and with just the right amount of oak. Now to 2010.
